Russian banks’ deposits with central bank at 463 bln rbl Tuesday
MOSCOW, Oct 11 (PRIME) -- Russian banks’ deposits with the central bank rose to 462.9 billion rubles as of early Tuesday from 459.5 billion rubles on Monday, the central bank said in a statement.
The central bank accepts deposits of commercial banks in order to regulate the banking system’s liquidity. The deposit rates can either be fixed, or defined during deposit auctions.
